Tour Details

Join us as we take the train out of the city to visit the beautiful old towns on the south side of Dublin bay. From Killiney beach we hike up to the Obelisk on Killiney Hill (moderate difficulty, 154 metres) and are rewarded with magnificent views of the Wicklow mountains, the Irish sea and back into the city.

We then find our way back down the hill past the residences of some of the famous locals like Bono, Enya, The Edge and Neil Jordan before arriving in the picturesque village of Dalkey to stop for a well-earned lunch. From there we stroll past Dalkey Castle and on to the James Joyce tower in Sandycove beofre continuing on to Dun Laoghaire to take the train back to Dublin.

What to Expect

We meet beside the Spire and then take the train from Tara street station (transport included) to Killiney for a beautiful day of hiking and walking on the south side of Dublin bay before travelling back to the city together.
